On November 11, 1919, Armistice Day was first celebrated to honor the first anniversary of the end of World War I. In 1938, Armistice Day was recognized by Congress as a national holiday. Today, on November 11th we honor all America veterans, living or deceased, who by their service to our country have impacted the lives of even those they will never know.
