Default are there lofts in downtown Tulsa? and how is downtown?

Im moving back that way around August, and am trying to find lofts downtown.

Here in St Louis, we have a full lofts district, and alot of the renovations to older buildings are lofts, both for rent and purchase.

I like open floorplans, and not too into walls and seperate rooms.

Ive done some searching, and have found nothing really that Im looking for. Am I missing it, or does it just not exist?

Also, how is crime downtown. Here where I currently live, its horrible, and Im just fed up. Curious what its like down there nowadays.

By and large it doesn't exist. Downtown/urban living just does not happen in Tulsa to any great extent although there are several developers making noises about creating some, I am not aware of any.

Currently available:
Tribune Lofts: The Tribune Lofts
Philtower: >> PHILTOWER.COM

Under construction (to some degree):
First Street Lofts: First Street Lofts
Mayo Building Lofts: Mayo 420 | Loft Living
Mayo Hotel Lofts: The Mayo ~ Opulence Reborn (site not updated)

Crime in downtown is lower than the more retail parts of town like South Tulsa. If you're up for a little work, you could possibly buy a building and make your own lofts. There are numerous other buildings scheduled to be converted into housing, likely several more will be announced between now and May 30th.

Below is a link to Tulsa People, the digital edition. Actually, it's a very well done magazine and you should look through all of the other editions that come out (once a month). This edition focuses on lofts downtown.
