I have a house in Drumright that should be ready for rent/rent to own in about a month. I am not sure you want to live outside of Tulsa, though. It is a friendly little town.

It is around 35 to 40 miles west of Tulsa. It has about 2900 people, and the Town of Cushing (nearest Wal Mart) is just about 8 miles west.

thank you GoodPasture. Thats about the distance I am now to work where i live about the same amount of people.. That might be a bit to far as the gas prices keep rising.
But I am still interested you never know I might not like my job in Tulsa and decide to find work elsewhere. I am trying to think positive here

christiann,
I am sure you already know this, but the gas in Oklahoma is considerably cheaper than the gas in California. A quick check of prices shows the average in several areas of California (LA, SF, Fresno) is $4.49/gallon while the average for Tulsa is nearly $.70/gallon less at $3.81/gallon. Just something to think about (and look forward to!).

I've heard Sand Springs is the direction people are moving now. Drumright is too far away, in my opinion. Good luck. You can always check out sites on the internet regarding cities around Tulsa. We are transplants from KCK and we love it here. Not real happy with the mayor an all the utility increases though!

Owasso is about 12 miles from Tulsa it is pretty much self-contained, meaning it has everything you would need right there, you wouldn't have to go into Tulsa until you wanted. It is very kid friendly with very good schools.

Yes, people are begining to move west, including Drumright.
You can get from Tulsa to Drumright in about 30-40 minutes.
