Default Safe neighborhood and good urban apartment

Hi! I am moving from The Woodlands (near Houston) to Tulsa. I would be working in Claremore so need an apartment with a shorter drive to work if possible. Woodlands is a fairly upmarket neighborhood with malls and gardens within a short drive. What community around Tulsa would be best if I wanted a similar neighborhood that was safe and upmarket with access to shopping? If you know an good particular apartment complex (hopefully not very old construction) please tell me the name.

Owasso is the closest upscale community to Claremore that actually has pretty good shopping. No malls in either Owasso or Claremore though.

Oh yeah......I forgot......Highway 20 (the main road between Owasso and Claremore) had some damage from rain.....I have no idea when it will reopen.

Turnpike access from Jenks, Bixby, and Broken Arrow is not too bad.....about 35-40 miles at 75 mph.

But there really is very little "urban" in Rogers County. Certainly not any upscale urban areas.

If you want urban in Tulsa, you might wait in Houston a few more years. There is some urban living but it has virtually no shopping. The shopping areas are far from urban. No matter where you live, the commute times will be nothing compared to Houston.

South Tulsa will give you the MOST shopping but Owasso is closer.

"Keetonville Hill" is the area on highway 20 you are referring to, here is the info:

There are financial incentives to the road repair company to get it fixed ASAP.
