Regarding supercomputers, Cray is not in Tulsa, Intel is not in Tulsa, are you talking about IBM maybe?
I forgot to also mention, you haven't heard of it because no one wants you to hear of it! That's why it's in a hardened bunker 10 feet under the ground. A few of our not so friendly adversaries would love to try and disrupt the work that is ongoing at this facility!

I recall when I was working for Sabre in Southlake, Texas that their data center "bunker" was located in Tulsa. Is that what you are talking about Brian?

But things have become better, because you see more people with income strolling around. The bums (smaller in numbers) still try to hang around, but from what I have seen lately they look to be uncomfortable/out of place. I would too with the renovations and rise of the Arts district and the cleaning up of the area for what is expected in the future. The Devon skyscraper will be next to the gardens and is expected to be a big part of the campus they are planning.
HT, thank you for posting this. I'm just glad to hear that the homeless are at least being given food. Oh, and if Myriad Gardens is as nice as they look on the pics, I wouldn't mind being a bum and living there. (Joking by using the name "bum". Many of them have had very hard lives and not always as a fault of their own)

Apparently this is news to some of us. Not me, I could have told you Tulsa was the best place in the world to live. OKOKOK Maybe not THE best place... I would just cover NE(ish) Oklahoma. Living in Tulsa for 10 years before I moved to Checotah, I can tell you Tulsa is a WONDERFUL place to live. Sometimes I wish I lived there again...but then I visit for something and realize, GOD I LOVE LIVING IN CHECOTAH hahahaha. We are up to 2 stoplights and still no traffic. Since we got our SuperCenter, we get all the selections of larger cities for our tables and it is still all good.

I hear you. I love the small town life, even though I am "imprisoned" in a mega-city (DFW)..

But, as far as mega-cities go, this one is not too bad.

Yeah its an awesome place considering how wonderfully racist it is. I for one think its awesome how a community can have the largest race riot in the U.S. history, build a highway through Greenwood (for those of you who are unaware of what this is its the area that was destroyed by the race riot), and land number 5 best cities. The criteria really needs to be reconsidered

And you're referring to a race riot that happened over 80 years ago. Man does the U.S. know how to cling to the past like a baby to a nipple.

Somehow I'm betting this chucklehead has no idea of where Tulsa is or has been here.

Way to start out your posting history here, smart guy.
