If I recall, weren't they up on Admiral & Sheridan? It's a NAPA store now, unless that's changed.

Nope, I would have remembered that, as I lived in that area growing up and live there now.

Did some digging, found it was on Pine between Memorial and Sheridan.

Also, get this: Lawhon Furniture - New York Times=

... dude is still in business (or at least the name).

Ah yes, I remember the building now that I referred to earlier...that was for Moskowitz Furniture. The Lawhon Furniture is a bed store now I believe, if it's the one I'm thinking of (just east of Sheridan on Pine on the south side of the street).

I'll check a few of these places out, although I've been to probably 1/2 them. I like furniture stores where I can touch/feel the furniture, not buy something from a picture in a catalog.

I live in haskell and have attended their auction sevaral times and have got some great deals such as a large high end computer desk for 50.00 valued at over 3,000.00 and early 18th century clock tower from france for only 650.00 this is probably worth 10,000.00 and up!
