Default BOK Center opening concert

While the going bet was Garth Brooks, that was not to be.

On Monday, during a press conference, Mayor Taylor along with Garth announced that the opening concert would be announced today. While Garth said he would have loved to open the building, the logistics prevented it. He also said 'if there's a bad guy in all this, you're lookin' at him'. I think that was very stand-up for him to do. He will, however, participate in the ribbon cutting cermony during the weekend of August 30

This morning, the announcement was made, that on Sept 6th at 8 PM, The Eagles will open the BOK Center's first official event. BOK Center

You can see the other events that will be held before this at BOK Center

Darn, I just new the Led Zeppelin reunion tour was going to kick off with the first BOK show!! J/K! I wish Plant would come to his senses and grace us all with a world tour before he kicks the bucket, I'd pay an arm and a leg to see those guys!
