Default New York to Tulsa

Hi all,
I am moving to Tulsa for a year for work in late August. I am born/raised in NYC and, while I can drive, I do not particularly like to. I have been looking online at some apartments in Brookside and closer to the downtown area. I'm hoping to find something where stores and entertainment are in walking distance and I'd prefer to minimize my commute time (I'll be working on Denver Ave in the Downtown). Does anyone have any opinions on the following buildings:

Village at Brookside
Lincoln Park
Renaissance Uptown
Legacy at Riverview
Westport on the River

Any other suggestions? I've heard nice things about Cherry Street, but I'm not sure which apartments are in that vicinity.

Many thanks in advance for your input!

Westport is nice and near riverparks but not near much in the way of shopping or other services. Renaissance Uptown is also nice but there is not a lot nearby either. I believe Legacy at Riverview is the one that was just remodeled and it is close enough to brookside for shopping and on riverside. If you are looking to bike to work I would suggest being on riverside and if you are looking to ride the bus then brookside will work too.

Before you move, just drink plenty of ice water; Tulsa in August can be HOT!

Try the following, and good luck!

Mayo 420 | Loft Living

The Philtower was featured in a recent video by Hanson. You could say to everyone in NYC (in an Okie accent of course), "Hey, I live thar!!!

Thanks for the tour of the downtown buildings. I had no idea all that was being done. I guess I've been out in the boonies (41 & Yale) too long! I'm sure that will be most helpful to our NYC friend.
