Non-profit volunteers?!?!

And Mayor Taylor is excited about it?!?!

Maybe she's trying to see how private initiative can come up with ideas AND implement them without a 3-year delay and a $1M budget!

As for TulsaNow - how cool! There's always so much going on in town, short of tracking down a UT, it's hard to find out where it is!

Thanks for the great news!

Default Visiting Tulsa... First Time

I will be in Tulsa at the end of October attending a conference. I did look at some of your tourism info... Wonder if I could get some recommendations on several good nightclubs/bars and maybe some good local eats that are in the downtown area. Pretty open on the club and music scene... as for food.. what is OK know for??? Could always go for a good steak and/or BBQ.

Thanks

You coming for the preservation conference?

It'll take a bit for a lot of reviews to get added, but DowntownLive.org will be the best source for this kind of info. In Oklahoma you can find good Hamburgers, BBQ and Mexican. You will have to try McNellies and El Guapos (both in converted old buildings) as well as Ron's for burgers and Chili. There are less good seafood places than fingers on one hand, so don't expect that, we be land lovers here.
