Default BOK Center-Eagles Concert

I would have LOVED to have gone last night but to those who were lucky, How was the EAGLES concert and the experience of new BOK Center?

I didn't get to attend but was there when people came out and everyone seemed super-hyped about the concert and how great downtown looked.

I saw a lot of reports on TV and in the print media that the parking problem hype was just that...hype.

Many people said they had NO problems parking. I think the biggest gripe right now is about handicapped parking, but the BOK Center flyers I got the day of the open house indicated dropoff and pickup of handicapped people could be done on 3rd Street between Denver and Frisco. I actually picked my mother up on Denver by the main entrance and it was actually incredibly easy to park there and get out.

I heard from several friends that downtown was as vibrant as they've ever seen it last night. Tuesday night will be a test as well; Kenny Chesney is in town with LeAnn Rimes opening. Then the American Idol tour next Saturday. I'm looking forward to hockey. Talk is that the Oilers owner is trying to beat the CHL attendance record held by OKC. The building as it is now is sold out to hockey at 17096, so to beat it, they'll have to sell about 800 SRO tickets. Not sure if that will work, but it should be fun.

Syn, did you ever get up to check the building out?

Sadly no. I DO intend to be up in that area for the Oktoberfest so hopefully I can schedule an event around then.

Keep my seat warm!
