Default Any good areas in Northern Tulsa, near highway 75?

I'm a recent college grad who has accepted a job that is in Bartlesville but I'm considering living in Tulsa and commuting (bartlesville is a little too "country" and "retirement" oriented for me).

I want to make the commute as minimal as possible (would 45 minutes or less be impossible?), but I also know that northern Tulsa doesn't have the best reputation. I looked at Owasso which might not be a bad option but it seems something almost right off of highway 75 would put me closer to Tulsa AND make the commute to Bartlesville shorter.

I'm not really looking for a nice place to raise a family, just a place thats nice enough for me to rent an apartment and not be in an uncomfortable area.

any advice?

Yes, there are some new housing additions that have gone up on the east and west side of 75 around the Collinsville area. Just drive up 75, you'll see them right along the highway. Can't remember exactly but around the 126th or 136th or 146th street exits is what I'm referring to.

I would seriously look at Owasso. My husband worked in Bartlesville for two seperate internships, and had to drive an hour to get from our South Tulsa (81st and Memorial) apartment to work. When he drove from his grandparent's house in Owasso, it only took him about 30 minutes.
