Default Having trouble making friends here
Hey there! I'm new to this forum and also to Oklahoma. I'm single male in my 30's. I moved here in October 2008 and still don't have any friends here! I'm not really sure how to go about meeting people here. I'm currently laid off(soon to change) so making friends through my job is out of the question. I'm definitelty not a bar person. Does anyone have any suggestions how someone new to the state can start forming some new contacts and relationships with others? All replies are welcomed!

Do you have a church family yet? Do you go to Borders to read and sip coffee? Do you walk around some of the local parks? I guess my 30+ single daughter hasn't run into you yet! She sure needs to get out more.

what are your passions ?? what are your hobbies ??? Tulsa is full of many clubs and organizations that cater to different groups do a google search for them

My suggestions are always bars or churches. Usually someone is comfortable with one or the other if not both. :-)

There are "tweetups" for twitter users, there is a group called "cup of coffee networkers" that meets as well as TYPROS events and the monthly TulsaNow happy hour.

I would suggest find a hobby or cause you're interested in, do it, you can't help but make friends.
