Wow!! That is great news and hopeful to someone who is thinking of moving there. But still I haven't had my question answered. What is there to do in Tulsa for a 14 and 10 year old boy?? Besides the basic sports involvement. My boys are used to snowboarding, longboarding and all the typical busy stuff that boys do...
well football is #1 in oklahoma,Tulsa has some fine soccer leagues, baseball and soft ball and wrestling and martial arts are found at area parks .jr. rodeo at the round up clubs and there are some skate parks around. snow boarding, good chance of snow about three times a year. as for long boarding i am guessing you mean surfing no chance of that, river parks has a very good place to skate if you mean long board skateboarding. all in all tulsa is very kid friendly

Is there a beach area along the River Parks? Are people able to swim in the river anywhere around there?
And you're absolutely correct. There had been a drought at that time. The funny thing is that a huge part of the time we were there, it rained. Guess we broke the drought cycle.

I don't recall there being a beach Jammie, and I don't think swimming is allowed.
Yes, Tulsa is probably very thankful that you and your DH arrived to bring the much needed rain.

Yea, we did good, didn't we?
I know there's a "Rain" thread on the regular OK forum, but I didn't read it. I do watch the weather down there and at one point, TWC was commenting on 21 straight days of rainfall. I'm not sure what day it actually stopped, but I was thinking of how nice and lush it must be down there this year.

It's probably a little too lush this year. The area has received a LOT of rain, but all in all it's probably very good for the area and the state.
