Yesterday was officially 100 for the high. Today they're expecting 102 with HI values around 110. And no break until Sunday, possibly Monday.
Sheesh. My AC ran for an hour straight last night before it kicked off, and I have it set at 78.

At least you WILL have a break in a few days. Here, once it starts, it doesn't end until October.
Make sure and keep that AC filter clean, it will make a HUGE difference in how hard your AC works to keep things cool!

Change 'em twice each season, and always hose down the coils on the outdoor unit to get the crap out of em.
And we did get a break, at least in part of the city. Had a brief shower just about an hour ago here, of the hit/miss variety. Temps backed off to upper seventies for now and we got about 2/3 of an inch rain out of the deal. 10 miles away, not a drop. Welcome to Oklahoma.
I'm still hearing thunder as I type this.

Yea, at first thought, Hawaii would be my choice, too even though I've never been there. But actually, you could have a much better quality of life in Tulsa. You'd be able to afford to do things and to live in a much nicer home. In Hawaii, I'm afraid my budget would put me in a hut in the hills of one of the islands.

I would probably go for it if we didn't have kids but I heard that the locals do not like outsiders and there is a lot of racial tension. I also found out that the schools aren't very good and neither are the sports. Remember this move is about my family and especially my kids. Priorities are quality of education, sports and their future. I think we would have fun in Hawaii but we would probably have to live in a small rental, sell alot of our things and the kids would probably not get the best education. My older son wants to be a Doctor.
Anyway, maybe someday my husband and I can relocate to Hawaii but for now it seems Tulsa is our best opportunity..
Thanks,
Raelyn

And by the way, I forgot to add.. We will be moving to Tulsa either in July or August. My husband was hired. I have narrowed my choices down to two or three communities and look forward in getting a feel for the city and it's amenities. Thanks for all your help and involvement in this. This have been great for me...
