Default All right now be honest.. Jenks, Broken Arrow, Owasso High School, which school is the best???

Hi, I have really appreciated all the posts and answers to my questions regarding Tulsa. I am moving from the West Coast and the location and High School/Elementary Schools is REALLY important. I don't want my boys to be just a number. So what area is the best?? My boys like baseball and football. They like music. They are extroverted and friendly and they are active. Tell me what does a 14 and 10-year old do in the Tulsa area?? Tell me what is there to do in the winter and summer for boys? I checked out the Owasso baseball team and honestly they look so good I am not sure my son would have a chance.. They are 4th in the country!!! Wow!! Is baseball huge in Oklahoma or what?? And what do they feed those boys there? They are huge!! Anyway, I was kind of sold on Broken Arrow but is there somewhere prettier? You have to remember I am coming from mountains and pine trees and beauty everything... Where is the prettiest spot around Tulsa??? Thank you for helping me. You all seem so nice I can't wait to meet the people in Tulsa... People here are kind of snooty sometimes and rude. Anyway, I be back to see what you have to say... Until then...

Sincerely,
Raelyn

Water sports is huge in Oklahoma in the summer. Oklahoma has more miles of shoreline then any other state. We have a ton of big nice lakes in our state, most of them are within 1 1/2 hours of Tulsa in NE Oklahoma. Winters are pretty mild here, a lot of kids hunt and play sports. Owasso has a great sports complex, new YMCA center, fairly new skate park and a ton of baseball diamonds. The only areas that remotely come close to terrain to what you are use to in Tulsa is in south Tulsa area. This would be in the Union and Jenks school district. But it's only some hilly areas with trees, no mountains.

The prettiest spot isnt around Tulsa, its IN Tulsa. The Historic Mid-Town area to be precise.

One of the high schools in that area is Cascia Hall. I call it our mini Hogwarts.

Old photo, they have added to the campus, and the area since.

Few buildings on the Campus

The school is right in the Utica Square area with its fine upscale shopping, living, dining, parks and museums.

New mixed use living/office next to Cascia Hall

View from penthouse towards downtown

Utica Square, etc.

Couble blocks away is the museum, Villa Philbrook.

Few Homes to give you a feel for the neighborhood.

Garden center, Tulsa History Museum, Linnaeus Gardens, Rose Gardens, Woodward Park, etc. are also right nearby.

Garden Center

Behind garden center.

Tulsa, History Museum next to garden center.

Course your also pretty close to the River and the River Parks system.

One of the many old homes overlooking the river

Backyard, you can see the river valley down below

And I could go on and on and on. Just a smidge of the flavor of Historic Mid-town.... But if you like the tedious, suburban sprawl thing,,, we got plenty of that too.

Oh, and Lee Elementry is also likely a very good school in this same Mid-Town area and near the Cherry Street and Brookside areas as well.

Broken Arrow is a nice community if you are looking for good schools. There are some hills and nice terrain in east Broken Arrow on Kenosha east of the Creek Turnpike. Also, there are some hills in some areas of south Broken Arrow off of 131st Street.
