Default Mid Century Modern Home Tour in Tulsa

There is a very hip happening taking place just up the turnpike in Tulsa on June 13th, 2009. The Lortondale neighborhood (just east of South Yale around 25th~27th street) will be hosting a neighborhood tour featuring six homes. Grab your Pikepass and come on up!

“Living in Hi Fi” will be the first annual modern home tour hosted by the Modern Tulsa committee of the Tulsa Foundation for Architecture.

This area is known for the flat top houses from the Fifties. Once a premiere Tulsa neighborhood, many of the homes in Lortondale were abused and neglected. But the area has seen a real resurgence in the last several years and things are looking up!

The walking tour will feature six homes in various stages of restoration- from Mid-Century basket case to contemporary showplace. More info on times and tickets at Modern Tulsa Architecture : Blog, Photos and Discussion : Oklahoma
