Default Arriving in tulsa this weekend!! Thanks to all for your help!!!

Hi, I just wanted you all to know that I will be in Tulsa this weekend and for the entire week. My husband and I will finally be househunting. I appreciate all your help and every suggestion and opinion that I have recieved. This has been a very helpful site. I do have another question. Is there any nice restaurants perhaps with live music that my husband and I can try? We would like a nice place to go for an evening. We won't have kids with us so this is sort of like a vacation for us if you know what I mean.

Again, thank you for all your help. We have decided on the Owasso area. We like the schools and how it is a little bit away from the city. We believe it is a nice fit for our family. The housing situation will be a little hard for us since we will not be buying a home right away, so we will be downsizing.

I will let you know how our trip went...

You know, I wish there were some website that listed all the restaurants that had live music. There are dozens and dozens of restaurants that feature live music, but on any given night, you dont know which one will have live music that particular night, or who is playing unless you go there and find out. They may have live music say on one saturday, then the next they wont.

Raelyn, what kind of food do you and your DH like?

The Jenks Riverwalk seems to always have music - my DH and I went there last weekend and the Ale Haus had a band playing outside. We drank a glass a wine by the river and it was nice. Again, not sure if this was a weekend-only thing, but it's a nice place to have dinner and an evening stroll (provided there's water in the river. Flood control, so sometimes they can't release water into it). There's a movie theater there, too.

USRufnex is on a distinguished road
I am a fan of just walking around Cherry Street (S. 15th and Utica west to 15th and Peoria).... if you haven't already tried it, it's fun to go to someplace like the White Owl Pub or Kilkenny's or the other places for a bite to eat.... there's also the Brookside area (34th to 41st and S. Peoria) to just walk around.

Since you're driving around the area, there is Brady Street just north of the downtown railroad tracks... Utica Square (S. 21st and Utica) is... well... "oldskool" and has a nice steakhouse (Fleming's).... there's a nice little block or two at 18th and Boston-- a few bars, restaurants, brewpub...

I really love McNellie's over at Elgin and First St downtown but then again, I guess some of my recommendations are closer to pub grub than fine dining... I LIKE BEER.

Los Cabos Mexican Grill Music List

Los Cabos is located along the Bass Pro lake next to Bass Pro Shops. There is nice outdoor seating and live music going on. Really makes for a fun evening. The food is also great.

Hope you're enjoying your trip to Tulsa! I just replied to your original post about areas to live in- I see that you've decided on Owasso. Great area for families! I hope you're able to find a rental soon.
Can't wait to hear what you think about the area!

Trip report, please. I've been following your story since you first started posting so I'm also curious to hear what you think about Tulsa. Oh, and if you get a chance, take a drive over to Grove. It's such a neat area.
