The Cherokees just pay a licensing fee for the name. There's nothing more exciting that that, unfortunately. Hard Rock doesn't own the place.

As far as how the whole franchise goes, I think it's something like this, but I might be leaving something out... The Seminoles a few years back bought all the licensing rights to the brand. So they own the logos, etc.... So if a company or a tribe owns a casino, they can just work out a licensing agreement.

So yes, you can own and operate a McDonalds, but you are not McDonald's corporation... you simply pay McDonalds to license the restaurant.

We used to enjoy the buffet at the casino in Catoosa from time to time until it switched over to a Hardrock.

The noise they refer to as music is deafening and extremely irritating. We won't be back there until they either change the music or .... and here is a novel idea .... don't play any music at all in the restaurant.
