Yeh, us Okies kinda like to joke with each other about being Southern-Fried Hicks. We don't really like it when others not from Oklahoma do it to us...but we can do it to each other. Therefore, now that you and your family are Okies I was inviting you into the discussion. It's kinda an inside joke; so I'm guessing by your response that you didn't really understand my light-hearted humor.....all in good fun and no ill intent at all.
There are actually some hillbilly folks around these parts that don't always wear shoes to everything.....hence the sign that says "No Shoes, No Shirt, No Service."
Hope this clears up the confusion there for ya, Raelyn.

I get it and believe me I am trying to be kind with my observations. Some of the people in these parts are really different.. One thing I can say, they don't care what anybody thinks they just seem to enjoy themselves. I recently made a comment to one of my friends in Washington after we paid a visit to the local "Golden Corral" which by the way was horrible!!! .
The atmosphere would have been complete in that place if there would have been a band playin the beverly hillbilly theme song...I don't know if it was just the night or it is like that all the time.. It was very hicksville and I do believe if it weren't for the sign on the door people would have been in there barefoot.
Now I am joining in and I hope I haven't once again offended anyone... We are off topic again....

fear is a good thing if you are fearing stuff that merits avoidance.
trouble is not enough of it. they think vampires and gangbangers and black magic witches are their friends. naughty boy fever.

so are you saying you like the "nightmare" message or not? I am not sure what the last part of your message meant?

hahahaha....THIS is hilarious!!!
Yeh, someone should have warned you about what my wife and I refer to simply as "The Corral." <----I still like eating there, but now that we live in the Big City the wife is all uppity about the The Corral so I like to dig on her a little bit since she's snooty about her restaurants now.
For me it's a no-brainer. This is how I think when it comes to food:
The Way Bass&Catfish's Mind Works when it comes to The Corral:
*You mean I can have copious amounts of okra?*
*Seriously, I can eat more than 3 chicken fried steaks in one sitting?*
*All for $8? ....And no, I don't care that all the food has been sitting out for 7 hours.*
Also, I would say don't worry about breaking the rules of the forum (staying on topic, etc.), we're Okies.....by nature we're Outlaws/Lawbreakers = see the background of how Oklahoma became a state.....especially those pesky/shifty "Sooners." ....I can say this cause I'm a SOONER! Ha!

That's a fairly accurate representation of the Golden Corral. It's like a feed trough for humans. But hey, they've got those coupons where you can get a second meal for $4.99! Their baked potato bar is pretty good (Although Jason's Deli is the best for a baked potato and salad - mmm giant stuffed potatoes and olive tapanade on the salad bar!) but I would avoid those cheese pizzas like the plague they are. I believe the sauce is ketchup-based, and not really meant for consumption by anyone over the age of 10.
