Default Selling catalytic converters?

I just took 2 off my Nissan Titan and was told that they can be sold for the metal inside. Does anybody know where in Tulsa area that buys them?

thanks.

Borg is the recycler that I am vaguely familiar with (the scrap metal place, not the assimilators).

Default Moderation Sucks

Well, I did post a reply to this but I guess it was moderated because it is now gone. Not sure why. Oh well. The metal inside is platinum. Just get a phone book and start calling recycling places/scrap yards. Don't expect much money. Very little platinum is used in each converter.

Moderator cut: You did not post a reply on this thread and it was not deleted. Although, since I'm sure you read the TOS, you're aware of the fact that anyone with under ten posts is not allowed to make recommendations so deletion would've been valid, but it did not occur.
If you are having any problems with moderation, please contact me. My suggestion to you is that you also refrain from posting a heading like you have. It won't work well for you in the future.

I am sorry if that offended you. My general feeling towards moderation is negative. Nothing personal. You threatening me not to post negative comments regarding moderation only solidifies that feeling.

I did post a reply to this poster's question. Not sure what happened. Sorry to falsely accuse you. My original reply delved into individuals who steal copper and individuals who steal converters and the monetary compensation they seek. I thought maybe this was seen as endorsing theft or something and moderated. I'm not sure what happened. I know these computers are error-proof right? So it couldn't have possibly been a computer or server error (sarcasm). I work for the department of corrections by the way and will be looking for law enforcement jobs if our family moves to Tulsa. I do not endorse any such theft (even though it ensures job security for me). I can also relate to people having negative feelings towards you based upon your title. I get that a lot. Even though, ironically, I have such a bias towards moderators.

Moderators are people too. I'm working on it!

Since this forum is indeed moderated, feel free to take your negativity elsewhere. Moderators provide a valuable service, and I appreciate their efforts to keep threads on point and to maintain civility.

Bill, thank you. It's usually a pretty thankless job so I appreciate it.

Fender, I'm wondering if you posted something on another thread and thought it was this one. When we delete a post, we can still see the trail that it was deleted and the member who posted it can also see that. No one else~just the member who posted it and the mods. I will check it out for you and I'll get back to you in a DM if I find a post of yours that has been deleted and with the reason for it.

This post is from the member ME and just to differentiate in the future~I post in black when I'm posting as a member~red if it's a mod action.

Just adding~it was an easy search since you only have a few posts. There hasn't been a post of yours that has been deleted. I don't know what to tell you. I've had posts go POOF so I generally check to see it got posted. Often I end up hitting something and it just disappears and I realize it right away. LOL And not to worry. We'll get along. I'm not easily offended, but discussing mod actions is actually against the TOS. We could've probably done this through DM, but it often helps new members understand our forum better.
