Default Recommend a Computer Repair place??

Does anyone have experience with a computer repair shop in Tulsa, Jenks, Glenpool, or Okmulgee? As you can see I am headed South from Tulsa on 75. Since I live in Beggs it would be real handy to have one in Okmulgee...but I am VERY skeptical about computer repair in small towns. More than one that I know of uses the store as a "front" for ripping people off OR scoping out the electronics in the home for a visit from Five Fingered Freddy.

HELPPPPP me my Tulsa/Oklahoma City Data Friends Please!!!!

I have a Trojan called BankerFox.A and some Anti Virus System Pro has installed itself on my darn computer.

Thanks in Advance.

Karen

Once it does start it has missing files so still won't run. I am VERY frustrated with this darn Trojan and the pop-ups that seem to come with it. Pop-ups windows for Viagra, nude pics, and a porn search engine.
I ain't seen that many boobs in many years...because YES the pages are open when they pop up.

I told my hubby if I wanted to see boobs I have a mirror.

I have done business with, and can recommend, Aktec Computer on 41st between Yale and Sheridan. Phone 918-858-8888.
Aktec Computer Solutions

They offer a live remote assistance tool for their IT specialist to help solve your technical problem, or you can take your PC to their store.
They describe Live Assist as follows:

"This service includes a small virus-free plug-in that allows a member of our support team to view your desktop and share control of your mouse and keyboard. Through an on-line chat session and our Live Assist tool, your support representative will walk you through the solution to your technical issue.
How It Works
Step 1: Call Aktec and ask for a member of our support staff. (918)858-8888 | 1-866-408-4333

Step 2: Once you are on the phone with a member of our support team, you will be directed back to this page after your support representative provides you with a unique connection code. You will then enter the code in the field below and click the Click Here button to initiate the screen-sharing session.

Step 3: You are prompted to download a small virus-free plug-in.

Step 4: With your permission, your support representative can view your screen and share control of your mouse and keyboard.

Step 5: You are in full control of your computer at all times. You always have overriding control of your mouse and keyboard, and you can end the screen-sharing session at any time."

Sounds like about 2 hours "bench time" for a good tech as you have mostly minor stuff.

For future protection you need these:
AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition - Free software downloads and software reviews - CNET Download.com (free antivirus)
Ad-Aware Free Anti-Malware - Free software downloads and software reviews - CNET Download.com (free spyware remover)
Spybot - Search & Destroy - Free software downloads and software reviews - CNET Download.com (free spyware remover)

I work on computers for a living and any uninfected computer I've set up with those 3 together have stayed uninfected.

I also recommend forgetting Internet Explorer exists and switching to Firefox, Chrome or Opera.

Or just buy a mac.
