Default River Development

I was raised around Tulsa, but haven't lived there in 5 years now. Anyway, I'm always checking back in to see how things are going back home...

So what's up with the river? Are there any additional plans for development? I hate to say it, but I'd much rather see some new developments in Tulsa than in Jenks, but it seems like Jenks is taking the forefront on this...Tulsa needs to wake up already. I remember seeing something about "The Channels" a few months back - as bizarre as the idea seems to me, at least it'd be something totally unique to Tulsa. I can't imagine the taxpayers OK'ing it, though

Tulsa is same as always. There has been little to no change at the River Parks. As for the Channels project, you are correct, it will probably never happen. Although Tulsa is alright, and a few burbs(owasso, jenks, etc) are pretty nice, I feel that Tulsa itself is going down hill slowly.

The murder rate is increasing every year, gang violence is also on the rise, and east Tulsa is called "little Mexico" now days (I have nothing against Mexicans, just mish they were here legally.)

Tulsa is working on improving the riverparks area through vision2025. You can google "tulsa, vision2025" and check out all of the improvements planned for the area.
