Times two! How about not ever never going to a church? I mean never!

Talk to anyone and everyone you come in contact with in your daily affairs! I mean start a conversation with the homeless person you see at a street corner and the man in a three piece suit that looks down his nose at you?

It took me a LIFETIME to figure out almost everyone will be kind to you and talk to you if you start a casual conversation.

It took me even longer to figure out ALL churches (100%) are full of hypocrites and people that need a way to escape from reality......

100%

This is true because the church is full of sinners. However, the fact that people are hypocritical does not negate the ultimate reality that Jesus is Lord.

Hence, I would disagree with you that church-goers are escaping reality. In fact, just the opposite is occurring; they are beginning to peel back the layers and see reality for what it truly is (assuming the Bible is preached as the Word of God and the church is Christ-centered).

He IS perfect. His people, well....far from it, obviously like the rest of the world.

Hey, can anyone tell me about Tulsa? Where's a good area to live in? Is it hard to find a job? I am currently in school now, but I am a Licensed Massage Therapist. Looking to rent an apartment, anywhere from $0-550, maybe $600. No children, single. How is the transit system? What is the name of the newspaper in the city? HELP!!! Thinking about moving there...soon...ASAP! Thanks!

In order:

[Where's a good area to live in?]

Depends on who you are. Families would do well to live in Broken Arrow for their school system. But since you are [No children, single.] I would suggest our Midtown scence. Looking into Cherry Street, and Brookside, the prices you are looking to pay means you will be able to afford a nice apartment. Riverside is breathtaking in the spring and Wesport on the River (Just west or the Arkansas river) was awarded best apartment community by Urban Tulsa Weekly. There are plently of other communities to check out though.

[Is it hard to find a job?]

Not sure about that. The job market right now isn't the best ever (neither is the whole country) but we've gotten off quite light, unemployment is low compared to the national average but I have a job so I haven't kept an ear to the ground as far as the job market goes.

[What is the name of the newspaper in the city? ]

Tulsa World.

I relocated with my family last year about this time. It was a somewhat difficult adjustment for us since we have lived in the same small town FOREVER. Hubby moved there in 6th grade, I grew up there and so did my children. The thing that saved my sanity is I, along with my daughters have been involved in Girl Scouts for many years. I basically took up where I left off in Checotah..just in Okmulgee. Find an organization to get involved with to Volunteer. You will be surprised how fast you will make friends. Girl Scouts is a great place to start. If you don't wish to work directly with girls there are MANY other ways to help.

ahh, c'mon, how about the "ultimate reality" of Buddha, Mohammad, Pink Unicorn, Flying Spaghetti Monster, and several others. Also, if you look at many vehicles around, you can certainly be sure that Jesus is Carp. It's 21st sentry and you are older than 10 years. Of course, this is a wrong place to talk about all these, so you can welcome to The Rational Response Squad.

Tulsa is a nice place because I am here.

You know I've been looking for a new church. I'll have to tryout this Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

With the abundance of spaghetti readily available at least my stomach won't growl halfway through the sermon like every other Sunday.
