Here we are at the highway, we are going south on 64/169. I'm glad we are not going north, as there is a traffic jam there.

Just kidding! I don't know why they put those dirt piles there.

Nice pics. Road pics always give people a good description of what the area looks like.

Crossing the Arkansas. I don't know what that building is.

This building is called the "City of Faith" hospital. Oral Roberts said that "God told him to build the towers". They look pretty cool.

Thanks so much for the pictures peggy. Yes, that is the City of faith, and is actually the second tallest building in Oklahoma, next to the BOK tower in downtown Tulsa.

I like the building design, but the color to me, is horrendous. I wish they could update that building, but doubt if that will happen.

Some other pics of the City of Faith.

My mom once worked in the City of Faith buildings. This was back in the early 80s. I loved the atrium with the fountains. Seems like there was once a cross or crosses on the front of the tall tower. I couldn't see it in the photo. The mirrored base is supposed to replicate Noah's ark. Seems like that is where the cafeteria was located. As a teenager, I practiced my driving on the parking lot of this building. One thing I do remember, when you walked in the door it was like walking into a wind tunnel. Not sure why. I was in Tulsa in 1979 when the structure was being built and took a construction tour. I was also at the dedication service in either 1981 or 82. Can't remember, but I have pictures somewhere. I remember a red and a white banner coming together to signify God's healing power and medicine joining. It's amazing what we remember as kids.

The city of faith is not a hospital anymore , but is a south side Tulsa office building. there is a restuarant on the top floor of the building that allows for a very scenic view of the whole Tulsa Metroploitan Area and also the whole Riverside Park Arkansas River Area.
