The losers on Jersey Shore have nothing to do with the Mob. I'm prouder of Jersey's mob heritage than I am of having any ties to the Jersey Shore punks. At least they make good TV shows and movies (Sopranos, Goodfellas, etc). And the mob is actual American social history. Jersey Shore...not so much.

I for one am sick of Hollywood spreading the myth (which they created) that people from NJ 1) all live in the northern end of the state near NY, 2) are all loudmouth, rude Italians, 3) spend their days tanning, drinking, and fist-pumping, and 4) have connections to the mafia.
First there was Jersey Shore, then Real Housewives of New Jersey, now this. When's this stupid fascination with Jersey gonna end? Most (if not all) of the people on these shows aren't even from NJ!
As someone who was born and raised there, these shows **** me off.
Any thoughts?
Dude, anyone who's dumb enough to think everyone from Jersey really acts like this is a moron and not worth your time.

This from the person who was stereotyping IE people last week. You seem to have no problem dishing it out...

Is that where the shop is? lol
I thought it was in North Jersey
I've seen the show & thought it stunk.

Tennessee maybe? How about North Carolina?
Isn't that where all the real NJ people are moving these days? lol

And why is it still called Jersey Shore when they're in FL?

My hub keeps telling me that I'm more of a NJ housewife then any of the ones on.

I wouldn't take it personally if I were you. It says more about Hollywood than about the great state of New Jersey.

You forgot to add Jerseylicious - its about a bunch of Overly tanned, Big Haired and clothes way to tight wearing Hairdressers (I believe its in South Jersey but I could be wrong) but same characters nonetheless.

Now the world has become so PC we have to worry about hurting the feelings of people from Jersey? People need to toughen up and take a joke for a joke and not be so serious. I live in the South and you don't hear me complaining about the portrayl of rednecks.

Yep! I live in California and the stereotypes are rampant. You just have to roll your eyes and laugh at it.

The shows dont bother me in the slightest. its just a show and I actually do watch some of them but I do feel that every single Jersey show has the same exact characters some funnier than others but still same character.

It's no more aggravating as the pitiful display of we Hoosiers in the show The Middle.
