I really like this show, but that lil guy who is trying to act like Barney Fife just ruins the show, it has enough humor without him, I also like the music in this show.

TV wonders why people don't watch the shows, thats one example.

I agree -- the music is beyond fabulous. It takes a regular cop show to a whole different level. What a little bit of local color can do ...

To each his own - I happen to like that character. I imagine TV writers have to include different characters because not everyone likes the same thing.
There is a Memphis Beat thread with a few pages already going.

Yeah I kind of like "the little guy" as the OP called him. I do think there could be a temptation to use him too much, but so far they've avoided that.

You got your wish. The producers apparently had some sticky negotiations with TNT, but IMDB had two press releases this week saying Memphis Beat has been renewed.

Wasn't really a fan of it. I enjoy being able to expierience a small piece of Memphis from watching it, but the light hearted cop show genre doesn't work for me.

Oh yea. I think the "little guy" everyone referred to is DJ Qualls.
