I was never impressed with Callies' acting on the show. It's the only role from which I've been exposed to the actress, so maybe she does well in other character forms, but she was seriously underwhelming, IMO, on TWD. Particularly in S2, when Carl's chances were tenuous after being shot and Lori and Rick stood on the porch discussing whether or not it would be best for him to even survive. When it gets down to having to display intense emotion - Callies just doesn't have the range. She kept placing her hand to her mouth as an indication of stress, but it didn't ring true. 'least to me.

Haha, well I didn't cry when her character was killed off. Now Daryl, that's another story. He best be left alone.
I am completely surprised at how many people enjoy such a sick, depraved, and depressing show. One of the first horror movies I ever saw was "Night of the Living Dead"-scared the bejesus out of me and I loved it. The original "Dawn of the Dead" (not the cheap softcore porn remake with the dad from Modern Family) was great for its time, but this show is just disgusting. I've only seen one episode, but it also just seems endlessly depressing. Every time something good happens to the group, 10 bad things happen. Perusing the Wikipedia page shows that now they've brought a poor (and motherless as the mother apparently died in labor essentially) child into what literally seems like Hell on earth. I feel like the only kinds of people this show appeals to are the "preppers" who were already fantasizing about some kind of societal collapse, but perhaps it's just indicative of the times we're in. Kind of sad if you ask me.
have you taken a look at the world around you now???? hell on earth?? getting pretty close to that..
