I can't wait for TWD to start. I have my mom (who hates horror) watching it too - she loves the show! Does anyone know how many episodes they've filmed? I hope it's more than season one.

It's going to be a full 13 episode season, but they're going to stop halfway through and play the rest starting in February.

I've heard that about Mad Men also, that the creator demanded more money so they gave it to him and cut the budget for The Walking Dead.

What do you guys think about possible causes for the zombies? The websiodes seemed to imply that the violence all started kind of suddenly. Like within a half-hour people were turning into zombies. Maybe it was a virus or food contamination? I was trying to think of how all those people in that neighborhood could have turned into zombies within such a short period of time.

Frank Darabont is a genius of the Horror genre. I doubt this show will be the same without his mark on it.
Here's the story: Why Was Frank Darabont Fired from 'The Walking Dead'? - FEARnet (http://www.fearnet.com/news/b23460_why_was_frank_darabont_fired_from.html - broken link)

I am glad we don't have to wait for Halloween this time for the premiere. It starts at 9p.m on 10/16.

The series got me into reading the comic. It's a real shame about the "behind the scenes" issues. One of the things I loved was make-up and overall scenery. (Shout out to the ATL!)

I knew that detail would be important after watching the extras where they did the make-up for the bicycle girl in the first episode. I loved how they tried to find an actress with similar facial features to the drawing of the girl in the comic.

And to echo Mark S., "Bring on Michonne!"

I am so excited for sunday night! My bf does a great zombie walk and he has been freaking me out with it at random times. It just gets me more on edge for the season premiere.

Default Can't wait!

Great survival horror drama, That focuses on the characters and their struggle. I always wondered what Dr. Jenner said to Rick at the end of season 1. Season 2 brings new characters and what appears to be their journey on the road. The trailer looked great esp with them trapped on the highway with the walkers closing in. Greg Nicotero's makeup and effects are great too.
