I used to be a big fan of this show as I'm a motorcycle enthusiast. But, like others stated, this show lost much of its charm when Vinnie and Cody bailed and I don't think it was ever able to recapture.
It wasn't long after that where the father/son relationship began to deteriorate. The shows became less and less about the bikes and more about the family squabble, which I could care less about. I stopped watching it about a year ago and am not surprised to see it canceled now.
Cody, and Vinnie are already advertising their own show called Throttle Junkies.
I was reading about this when does it come on and on what channel? as for AC, well the time has come, ever since Vinnie left (that was pretty much the end of the peak) it really started to go downhill not as much variety, and not as much of an interesting story time to move on I guess, there's still pawn stars, 19 kids and counting, american pickers, lots of new shows that will take AC's place for me (Dollhouse is another story ) that said, I will miss it, but not the show now, what the show used to be
I just saw the final episode and the ending sucked I thought they would of had JR, SR and mikey sit down and show clips from the 10 year run that occ had on TV no just a regular bike build for the lowes tool line what a terrible ending to what was once a great show to bad it ended on a bad note
My husband loved this show and it also exposed me as well to the artistry behind the design. These guys have an amazing craft. I'm guessing that the family feuding was entertaining for some viewers but maybe if production really cut that out of the show it would not be ending. Too bad.
I don't know if anyone's interested, but it looks like a new show is coming where Paul Sr. and Jr. will be competeing with each other to who can make a better chopper.
I wonder if this was all in their master plan since the the original American Chopper show was getting old?
Starts on Aug 12 on TLC...We'll see if it can capture any of the original spark...
