I think it's hilarious, too.... Reminds me when you try to call ANY customer service and you get connected to people in India, Pakistan, the Phillipines, etc and all they can do is give you scripted answers and then refuse to connect you to a rep in the USA or give you a number to call in the USA>

That commercial while funny, makes me madder than a hatter because it's so true!!! I read a couple of weeks ago that a lot of American companies are bringing CS back to the US because Indians are demanding more money. The American workers are so desperate for jobs, they will work low paying garbage jobs like CS now. IDK, when I used to call DELL before it moved CS to India, I still couldn't understand the Mexican on the other end!!!

That commercial is hilarious. Yes. Yes. Ever since it came on, my mother and I call each other Peggy when we want to imply the other is being obstinent. Yeah ... we're very passive agressive like that.

So many companies "outsource" their customer service work to India, Pakistan, Phillipines, etc because it saves them money. They will work for $2 or $3 an hour while the average American Customer Service Rep gets $10-$15/hour.

I, for one, think it's a disgrace. Why, when I call my credit card company, am I getting someone in a foreign country and have to give them my name, DOB, SS# and mother's maiden name???? Talk about a security breach!!!!!!

I had one --- clearly in India. I asked him where he was located. He tells me "Ve allll in Los Vaaagas". I said "oh, really? You're not in India or Pakistan?" He said "noo mom, ve alll luucatid in Los Vaaagas". I said "oh.... well, I don't believe you. Can you tell me the name of the largest hotel in Las Vegas? Or the name of the entertainer whose been performing in Vegas for decades? Or name at least ONE casino?" He couldn't name one. I told him he shouldn't LIE to customers on the phone and, at that point, I demanded to be connected to a US CS rep or a local US number to call.

omigaud, he shouldn't lie, but I'm sure he doesn't have an option. He needs to eat too.

As for the commercial, sometimes I like it, sometimes I find it grating.

If you have Netflix you can stream this movie. It's about a company who outsourced CR to India and it's quite good.

Outsourced the Movie

If I call most companies, it's all from India .

One time through Orbitz ( yep India ) the lady messed up my plane reservations after she emailed me the WRONG day and flight info !

I called them back immediately and was told I had to pay $ 25 to CHANGE it !

Change it ?? Back to what it should have been ? I was soo upset. I did have to eat the money but I think later after many weeks they credited it back to me...

After that leary of O.....
