I think there is something serious going on with Meri. Did you notice her foot swinging on the Christine show? I thought she was going to fling herself right out of the chair! And the look of complete disgust/displeasure/anger/being upset or whatever (can't even guess) really had me waiting for some kind of outburst. I'm surprised they (the show's creators) didn't edit her out of those scenes.
I know this is "reality" tv but even so...I feel something's not right with her. Maybe the divorce is her first baby step out of the family? I for one wouldn't miss her and her tears on almost every show.
But she would have to move and give up her wet bar.
With Meri & Kody divorcing, I figured they would remarry after the kids were adopted. I couldn't believe they divorced without asking Robyn's ex if Kody could adopt them. Has anyone seen an article on whether it happened or not?

They all have twitter accounts and if you read some of their tweets it seems that the father did allow Kody to adopt Robyn's kids from her first marriage, or so they are making it seem.
I'm still grossed out by Madison marrying an uncle even if it is an uncle by marriage. Maybe it's not too weird for polygamists or people who were brought up in that environment?

On the show, there is an episode where the lawyer calls and says the ex signed. Later, Robyn's oldest daughter Aurora says she talked to him on the phone and thanked him, and he told her he didn't want to but he believes it is the best thing for her and her siblings.
He isn't her uncle. His sister is Madison's aunt by marriage.
I guess my understanding is that because his sister is Madison's Aunt by marriage, that makes him her uncle by marriage. If they are brother and sister? I have seen him referred to as Kody's BIL...
It's just a little too close on the family tree to be normal or socially acceptable, IMO. But like I said - they are from a different culture, a different religioin, so to them it's probably totally OK. I mean All the wives - Robyn, Christin, Janelle, and Meri - are relatives in some way. Meri's brother and Janelle were married at one point. Kody's dad married Janelle's mom - so that's weird. Kody and Christine's grandparents are 1st cousins... so does that make them 3rd cousins? I dunno. Robyn's ex-husband is a 1st cousin to Christine and also to two of Meri's mothers. I mean a lot of weird stuff going on there. So marrying your uncle by marriage - or the brother of your aunt by marriage, however you want to look at it - is no big thing, I guess.

When your uncle marries a woman, that woman becomes your aunt by marriage. Her siblings do not become your aunts and uncles by marriage. They are no relation to you at all.
Kody's brother married Erica. Erica is Kody's sister-in-law. Erica's brother is not Kody's brother-in-law. He isn't any relation at all.
