I haven't taken the time to read ALL the replies, and I'm sure I'll find that some of the ones I liked have been mentioned already.
I've looked over the last page, and I've liked many of those. But I was thinking "MonK" when I posted, and "Baretta" occurred to me also. For songs with lyrics to them, that is.
But I also liked "Mission Impossible" and the theme from MASH (yes, I know it has lyrics, but they usually don't play them "Suicide is Painless")
Old.....Mission Impossible, I used to have an album, from 1968 I think. Told my son I had a record. "Record?" he says, "Oh, you mean vinyl" ....well I'm 61.
A few years ago there was this reality show called NYPD 24/7 where cameras followed members of the New York Police Department around to watch them at work. It was a cool show but the highlight was the kick ass theme music. Sadly you can't buy it or anything because it was just composed for the show but I love to seek out the re-runs of it to listen to the intro.
Come on, no reason to be embarassed about that! That's a great song, independent of the show!
