I love love love this show. Love every character and feel they are ALL important to the story lines. All of the acting is brilliant. Those of you complaining about Van Alden - you are NOT supposed to like him. Michael Shannon is an amazing actor and I am dissapointed that he and Michael Pitt were not nominated for Golden Globes in Best Supporting categories. I like this show so much more than Sopranos. Love this time period and the obvious attention to detail. I cannot wait for Season 2!

I wonder what Van Alden is going to do now that he got is sign from god that Lucy is pregnant. But was it the sign that he was looking for.

Question Boardwalk Empire Season 2

Does any one know when Boardwalk Empire season 2 will start. Last week HBO was showing reruns of season 1.

September from what I've read. I can't wait but I'm really hoping this season moves a little faster. I found last season to be dragging on at times, though I thought the show was really good.

Who watched the new season tonight? (09/25/2011) I thought it was pretty good. Nucky looked older. I guess I need to watch reruns of last season to freshen up. Since I never missed an episode, I didn't think it was necessary. But I was kind of lost in the beginning.

Season 2 episode 1 was excellent! One of the best shows around!
The 1920's looked like a very interesting time.
Im also enjoying that rag-time music in Hifi and HD.
Great series!

I LOOOOOVE the music!!! I thought they were writing new songs in those older styles but now I see those are real 20s singers/songs! Great stuff!

I love the music and the costuming and especially the set. I absolutely adore Nucky's tan coat. Everytime he wears that it steals the stage for me. Yes, the plot and acting are good, too.

I absolutely LOVE this show!! Ep 1 Season 2 did not disappoint. My favorite part about this series is the acting: the cast is just excellent and the historical details (music, costumes, etc.) recreate a realistic 1920's rather than a glamourized one. It's the first show/movie that does not simply focus on bottlegging and flappers but also explores everything else that was going on as well at that time (like WWI, the KKK and the temperance movement).
