Because they don't preach to America.
I dont like him because he is boring.

I haven't liked Jacob from day 1, I don't like gospel music and that's what he sings.
Then the fact that he preached to the entire country and was cocky enough to say "if you don't like my performance then it's your fault" only made me not like him more.
When have ANY of the other contestants told the entire country that it's their fault if they don't like their performance? Your comparing apples and oranges.

I really wanted to hear Casey do 'In The Air Tonight'. I hope he does it at a later date. That said, his version of Nature Boy was awesome. And I'm glad somebody cleaned him up a bit
I love Paul's voice, but he should really be smacked upside the head for wearing that outfit while singing a Bob Seger song.
I am so tired of Jacob and his holier than thou attitude. I can't even watch him and his theatrics any more.
Haley is trying too hard. Relax girl. How about some Sade.
I love Lauren too. She is just so cute!
James ROCKS!
Scotty does not.

I loved Paul as usual, but I expect him to probably go home soon. Too many people don't get him.
I desperately want Jacob to go home. Maybe it was just me, but after last night I am starting to think he's kind of a self righteous jerk. Jimmy was trying to tell him that he can't preach to America and Jacob was just kind of like "ya... uh huh" and throughout his entire pre-interview he just seemed pissed off. I'm not a big fan of gospel music anyway so I don't really care for his voice.
Haley comes off way to sexy for me. And not the good kind, the kind where you're trying to be sexy but it's just becoming awkward. She chooses songs that consistently match up with the sex appeal thing and I don't think it works for her at all.
Love Lauren.
Stefano should go home, he's OK but boring.
I LOVE CASEY. I love the song Nature Boy and I loved his cover of it. I also loved that he didn't listen to Jimmy and did his own thing. I think Jimmy puts too much stock into his own opinion and I hope (though I doubt) he gets a little humbled by the fact that some of the contestants didn't listen to him and still did well.
Unfortunately my cable company ran into issues with the last performance of the night (which is common) and I didn't hear James at all, and I love James.
I hope Jacob, Stefano, or Haley go home.

My thoughts exactly! We seem to have the same taste.
Paul is one of those that you either really love or really hate. I really like him. But just like all the contestants, they have their style and if you just don't like that style, then it is what it is. Everyone has different tastes.

It's interesting that as the competition goes on, some that weren't at first are starting to grate on the nerves.
I thought I was the only one having issues with how Scotty holds the microphone, etc. It's starting to drive me a little nuts.
Fortunately those things don't matter when listening to a song on your ipod. But do if you want to see someone live.

That is because Simon is a tool.

Speaking your mind to stand up for what you believe in and what you feel is best for your voice, and preaching to America and telling them if they don't like his song its because they are afraid to look at themselves are two different things. It was a pompous comment. Casey and James knew what suited them best, they didn't tell us to basically screw off if we didn't like it. In fact, they both said they hoped everyone enjoyed it.

Simon's picture is now featured on Milk Cartons across the country.
Paul - dude you've gotta go - now. Way to butcher a Seger song.
Jacob's version of Bridge Over makes me cringe - Blech!
James truely rocked it last night. Sorry non-metal fans - it was great.
If Haley goes it can only be atributed to song choice.
Stefano - who is it that is voting for you?
Scotty - wrong song - period. However it won't get you sent home nor to the bottom three.
Lauren - UR Safe.

I thought it was terrible. His voice is too tiny for a song like Bob Seger. He was much better last week. He would be in my bottom three now (again).

The meh group
Lauren - just not a fan, can carry a tune but too bubble gummy for my taste
Stefano - OK is getting better and better but still too blah
Haley -Two steps back, so sad and it breakes my heart to put her in this crowd but it was a way wrong song choice for her
The much better to good group
Jacob- Glad he listened to the producers on song choice, he's got a great set of pipes but he needs to learn how to used them and a good producer is what he will need
Scottie- The next country star in the making, but it was a little too safe to be in the top group, I've seen on several polls he's at the top
The top of the heap
James - Stuck to his guns and rocked it, he's so consistant every time, while I'm not a big metal fan, he's melodic enough to make it enjoyable and is a very very good performer - sells the song
Casey - OMG - Brilliant - Brilliant - Brilliant and got a very well deserved standing O from the judges - he won the night and he's someone I'd go to see in concert. I LOVE that bass fiddle

I agree with almost everything you said. I wouldn have lowered Haley's performance further though. She needs to quit smiling on every song. "Call Me" is not a happy song. Haley's stage performance seems so contrived and unnatural.
Scottie's song was too slow. He has natural rhythm and does well with tempo.
My bottom three:
Paul
Haley
Stefano - nice singer but what a drama queen on stage
Jacob earned a temporary boost. Very nice job on the S&G song.
Casey is amazing, though he just isn't pop enough to win.
