Carrie was on a tribute to female gospel singers the other night. Although definitely not a fan of country, I am a fan of good music and Carrie can flat out SING! I mean she knocked the wind out of my sails. I had not heard her country stuff, but when she started singing, it was unreal. She has natural born talent AND is pretty and seems to be humble.

The other singers were also great.

One really cool thing about Carrie is that when she was on Idol they didn't want her to sing any religious songs and she did anyhow because that is who she is and guess what?? She still won!
Now I did not personally see that but my friend told me.

Why does Randy look like Carl Winslow from Family Matters?

Is Randy Jackson in that Walmart commercial about price matching? It sure looks like him.

Lauren looks less scared this time than she sometimes has in the past...good for her. Don't care for the song at all, though. I think I just have a personal bias against "fun" bubbly female country pop. I like it when girls sing traditional bluegrass, Alison Krauss type stuff, etc., but not so much this. Other people like it, though, no doubt. Even though American Idol likes to hate on ballads, they're my preferred country music (which is why I liked Scotty's Lonestar piece, even though it was pretty bland and safe for him). I just feel like the poppy country stuff is super karaoke, always just a hint of cheese.

Comparing the top four finalists on the Facebook fanpage listings, Haley is no where near the others. I feel like some giant hoax has been played on AI voters. Facebook fanpage is where the contestants have each been posting during the show and gathering followers.

James -fans = 131,499, followers=113,224
Scotty -fans = 120,321, followers=139,371
Lauren -fans = 51,581, followers=113,064
Haley -fans = 3,668, followers = 94,386

Looking at twitter, Haley has a following of 340 and followers of 352.

Lauren: Lauren Alaina on Facebook and Twitter (@LAlainaAI10) | Fan Page List
Haley: Haley Reinhart on Facebook and Twitter (@HReinhartAI10) | Fan Page List

Adam fans have been busy posting to as many forums as they can find pumping up Haley. In the final four, they were voting against James, not for Haley. Now they are trying to get James' fans to vote for Haley.
