BlueWillowPlate, thanx for pulling up this old thread. Not sure I had ever heard of Luther and always looking for Brit shows to watch. So, found it and just watched Season 1. I like that there's a thread that continues from one episode to the next.
Seems I saw where Season 2 was on in July. So I'd expect Season 3 to air at about the same time of year.
For those who watch, did you catch in the episode with the diamonds, that the girl involved in the heist said she was from New York. One of the Detectives in the office gave paper work to an office clerk with instruction to 'Contact Detective Munch, New York Special Victims Unit'. The clerk later reported that Munch had helped out with info. Detective Munch is Richard Belzer from the U.S. production of Law & Order: Special Victim's Unit.

Munch is based on Jay Landsman, a central figure in David Simon's true crime book Homicide: A Year on the Killing Streets. The character of Munch has appeared in more television series than any other fictional character, appearing in nine series on five networks since the character's debut in 1993.

Great catch! I did not notice that. I'm going to go back and re-watch from the beginning just to look for that
I found this but no idea when Season 3 will air. Not even sure its aired in GB yet. Didn't read a bout the "BBC mulling Alice centric spin-off" but it might be good.....if Luther co-stars
Resident Evil actress Sienna Guillory has joined the third season of BBC America’s Luther as a love interest for Idris Elba’s titular detective, Deadline reports.
Guillory will play an employee of a vintage clothing shop who meets Luther by chance.

Season 3, which will consist of four one-hour episodes, finds Luther investigating two conflicting crimes while dodging a ruthless ex-cop determined to bring him down.
Thoughts? Is Guillory capable of filling the void left by Ruth Wilson (who let’s hope and pray makes some kind of appearance in Season 3)?
