I find myself watching this probably more often than I should. And I like the 'personalities' on the show, even though I suspect some of it might be scripted. But what irks me about this show is that I think they over-estimate the value of the goods. One example was a used 42" inch TV which they priced at around $1000--and I'm thinking 'No way! You can get that new with a warranty for far less." Ditto on the used construction equipment, furniture, lamps, etc. They should provide a followup for what the stuff eventually sold for.
I like the show okay. I detest Dave. He always over values his stuff. He says he got into the thrift business after doing some court appointed volunteer work after his DUI. Brandi gets on my nerves and totally works it. I read she was a stripper and that is how she and Jarrod met. Not sure how true it is but an article I came across gave specific places she worked. They have 2 children but are not married. Darryl seems ok. Barry is my favorite though. He is a sexy old dude.

Ya, I saw Dave quote that a used washer and dryer would yield him 500 bucks. Ya right. More like 150 if they aren't dented too much.

I agree. This is my biggest complaint with the show too. One of the buyers saying "There's an easy $200 for that", when they are talking about something that I know darned well I can buy at Target for $75 brand new, drives me nuts. I say they should not get to add it to their total until they have actually sold it.
I, too, cannot believe how they can say it's worth this and that. First off, the items can it in their stores for days, weeks, months, years. It's only worth such and such price if someone is willing to pay that. And, there is no way - a used washer and dryer is worth 500 and up.
I watch the show to see - if they find anything unusual, and I often wonder if the stuff is planted by the show itself, if they do...
I still cannot stand Jarrod and his wife. I still Like Dave... Yuppppppppp, I sure Do...
I don't watch the show all the time but do catch it on occasion. Love Barry. He is such a character and easily my favorite. Can't stand Darrell with his red neck tank tops. I do like Dave. As for Brandi and Jared, those two seem to share one brain. I neither like or dislike them.
