Supposedly, Colbert's 91 year old mother is ill and he is in South Carolina with her.

Yeah. It's hard to be in NY making jokes. I wish the best for her and the family.

Default The Colbert Report (Colber Repor)

I was prompted to start this thread because of last Thursday's show. (03 Oct, 2013 David Finkel) An engaged couple was on the news because their Federal wedding venue was closed. So The Repor held a wedding for them.

For me the high point was Audra McDonald (black) singing "White Wedding" by Billy Idol for the asian bride (short) and white groom's first dance. The first line "Hey little sister what have you done." McDonald is an award winning singer and her wry facial expression capped for me.

The Oct. 10 show did a hilarious segment on the vapidity of certain popular tv news channels. A fellow named Shepard Smith really got some "attention."

Default I've watched today the last Colbert Report...

and I can't find any thread on it since the 18th ( the actual day of it.))))
Refer me please to a group of people here who care, so I'd be able to cry in the collective shoulder))))

It will be missed, that's for sure. That was one of the smartest and funniest shows on television.

I care. Stephen was a national treasure. Stephen is going to be a, hard act to follow. I do like Larry Wilmore.

If he was, why so much of indifference here? ( While the "Real Housewives" is widely discussed as far as I can see...)
To be honest, I am surprised by the lack of interest.
