We will be in the City the 17th, 18th and or 19th of July - (next week.)
We would love to get tickets to The Daily Show or The Colbert Show, but I'm afraid we've procrastinated too long and won't be able to get them. If anybody knows a way we could finagle this, please do tell. Also, I read somewhere that the Daily Show has an age minimum of 18. Do you know if they insist on that and actually proof people? My daughter is 17, my son 15 and they love that show!!!
Anyhttp://pics3.city-data.com/forum/clear.gifone know about when the show might be hiring people? It debuts Oct. 17 I think so I'm hoping they still might not have hired all of the staff. I'm still holding out some vague hope i might get the call someday. I know I got my resume to the right person. but no reply.

I am wondering if you ever got a reply about the question as to whether they actually check for age at the Colbert Report. I have tickets for an upcoming taping, but my son will be 18 two weeks after the taping -- I am afraid we might get turned away. Does anyone know for sure whether they'll actually check and if so what will happen if someone who is not QUITE 18 is there???

They're not going to check unless he looks under 18. If the tix are in your name, they may only check your ID. Most of the NYC shows don't check ID, though... if you have your ticket, they just check you off the list. If the person checking tickets does check your son's ID and gives you a hard time, just ask to speak to the Audience Coordinator who's in charge. The ones checking tickets are typically unpaid interns.
Anybody know why the Daily Show and Colbert Report are not on Comedy Channel tonight, and are not on the schedule for tomorrow night? However, reruns are scheduled for daytime tomorrow.
