Sloe-moe contessa person - would that be Ina Garten? I wish she was my next-door neighbor so she could have us over for meals every now and then. Much rather her than Rachael Ray - I can only handle eating the exact same dish over and over again for so long...plus that shrill laugh of hers makes me want to punch her in the face.

You are all forgetting the food shows that are on other places than Food Network - like Jacques Papin's Fast Food My Way on PBS. He used to cook with Julia for crissakes!! She was the best ever. I like his show best of all, because he is so talented, and so humble. A winner!

The worst would have to be that blonde airhead who makes everything from store bought stuff or packaged cake mixes and always has a frouffy cocktail in her show - probably because she represents everything that I am not and can't stand.

Alton is great - even my son likes his show. I also love the recipes Joan Weir uses, but her overly-enthusiastic, control-freakish and repetitive delivery are a total turn off.

Hell's Kitchen is the must-see though lately - Chef Ramsey is such a card.

Default What about "Take Home Chef"?

This show cracks me up. It's as much fun to see the women fawning all over Curtis, who is a handsome guy, as watching him whip up some fairly simple yet creative dishes in a "real" kitchen. It's entertaining and educational at the same time, and who doesn't like that Australian accent?

I love Everyday Italian with Giada DeLaurentis. Her cookbook is great too!

My daddy and I like to watch Bizarre Foods (with Andrew Zimmern) but it's more of a travel show like No Reservations (which I also like). I love Ina Garten! BC is my favorite cooking show. I also like watching how food is mass produced/cooked in factories.

I like these 2 also. I don't normally watch cooking shows because I don't cook. But for some reason when I am flipping channels and I come across either of these 2 shows I sit and watch.

I like Barefoot Contessa, she always has good recipes and beautiful presentation, seems happy and serene. How interesting that that is perceived as dull and boring.... Also do like Rachel Ray and Sandra Lee.

I like Good Eats and Barefoot Contessa on Food TV, although I find PBS' cooking lineup to be superior to Food TV these days since that channel is all about non-cooking shows now.

I think Sandra Lee is pure evil. Frosting a store bought cake is not cooking, and using Cheez Whiz in a cheese sauce for pasta barely passes as cooking in my book. She must get a kickback from all of the companies that make the processed/chemical laden foods she uses.

Sandra Lee comes across to me as the stereotypical good southern woman. You gotta hurry up and get that meal made that looks like it took all day so you can start slurping down those cocktails. You wouldn't want anyone to know that the batch their drinking is actually the second batch of the day ya know!
