When The Colbert Show started, I thought it was funnier, but now I think The Daily Show is better.

The Daily Show by a mile. John Stewart is one of the best interviewers on the air.

I'm not really sure what you mean. Everyone knows that Colbert is a devout liberal (as in Democrat), and that the shows humor derives from his acting like a conservative. It is much more satyrical than Stewart's more earnest albeit-humorous depiction. I think this is accomplished by the fact that Colbert is playing a character while Stewart is really just being himself (or, at least, showing us the funny side of himself for 20 minutes).

I have just always found satire much funnier than more straight-forward comedic approaches, which is why I prefer TCR. The dead-pan face paired with the ridiculous commentary gets me every time (I love The Word).

Although I like both shows, I like Daily Show a bit better.
