Default Superbowl Half-Time Show

So what did you think?

I thought it was horrible. The flashiness was ok but the singing sucked.

What I learned after about 3 minutes of the first song is that ANYBODY can yell a song.About 2 minutes after they started yelling their second 'song?' I switched the channel for 15 minutes.
People actually spend their hard earned money on that garbage?

Horrible. I think whoever was in charge of the sound should be fired.

Wow. Most people I know (in real life and on Facebook) are all saying it was one of the best halftime performances in many many many years. Not as good as Prince or when Michael Jackson did Super Bowl shows, but still far far far far far better than old retired rockers and/or country singers.

They need more halftime shows like this one. It was high energy, and made it difficult for you not to move and groove around the living room. Soooooo much better than having a Travis Tritt or U2 or Rolling Stones or similar type halftime show.

the BEP and Slash in the same performance? WTF? It's like a race to the bottom of the pop/rock chain.

I'm sorry but Fergie & Will.I.Am just sound awful live. Even all that autotuning/post-processing can't cover up their lack of vocal control & general vapidness of their technopop. I think their songs do work in mashups and remixed for clubs but not in a show.

Oh and what's up with Christina Aguilera?!?! It's one thing to sing off-key or warble during the anthem, but to flub the lyrics? Girl was probably out partying and skipped the rehearsal.

I liked it. I did notice some sound screw ups, but that's not the performer's fault.

IMO, and I agree with most of the others posting, the half time sucked. Yes the flashiness was good, but the singing, well it's why people call rap crap. Couldn't understand the words and those stupid gyrations. The performance was geared to the younger set and not for all age groups that were watching.
And the singing of the Anthem was atrocious. CA needs to be added to the RB club of dingy singers.
