Stupidest idea I ever saw, the locking food container. How about getting CONTROL over your own pigging out eating habits?

How about instead of reach for the case of donuts, get some nerve and take a walk, or grab something a little healthier.

If I were to own that, I would have taken a sledge hammer to it. Imagine: Locking up food! Just dumb ...

The sharks did point out some other applications. Locking game controls from the kids, tv remotes and cell phones. You could still break the box open, but a timed device like that, could have a purpose.

Or cigarettes! Not everyone has the kind of "CONTROL" needed to eat a carrot stick instead of a cookie. Holding off for just a little while can really help. If something like this can help people who have the right mindset, and are not going to maniacally attack it with a sledge hammer, then it has served its purpose.

I thought it was a really good idea. In addition to the other things like game controls and such, where you could say homework first, the food idea does work. Put a new box of mint oreos in front of me and by evening there aren't any. But if I opened it and took out three cookies and set it for tomorrow, then they would not draw bugs or be eaten by the dogs and I wouldn't have cookies for dinner.

I don't have a weight problem, but it isn't good to eat a box of cookies either, and then not want dinner. And its not that I go seeking more, its more that they are easily available. A timer would mean I'd have to find something better. I don't keep a lot of snack like stuff like cookies around so it would probably be something better for me. If you get past that moment of impulse, a lot of times you don't act on it.

I find Shark Tank hard to watch. Most of them never make offers, they just sit there and criticize. I like Robert and Laurie, but the rest of them are too annoying.
