Jamie's grandfather. It took us a few minutes to figure it out as we paused it to try to keep up. He's the one Jamie talked to Richardson about in the hospital, the one Richardson then spoke to the crowd about as his inspiration. Then Holder laughed at the fact Jamie still lived with his grandfather. We didn't put all that together until he said to Richardson when he walked in, something about "talking about me to your voters." I guess he's ready to rat his grandsone out?

I just thought that Jamie was too obvious. I still do.

Still not sure how deep Jamie's involvement is in this but he was sure up to no good with Ames. It's looking like the key card found at the casino is Jamie's. If it is his, he probably stole Gwen's to replace his which caused her to have to request a new one. One thing for sure ... the Chief is up to her neck in this, though; may even be the actual killer. Might be all three of them. The mayor, Jamie and the chief working in collusion.

As for Stan and Mitch. Glad he told Mitch off. Finally!!! Stan is the man! Loved the way Terry told Mitch off too about running off on some "vision quest." Two of the best scenes of the night. Stan and Terry putting Mitch in her place. About darned time! If Mitch doesn't want to move to the new house, she can stay behind. Stan and the boys should do it. They all need new surroundings to heal. Mitch can stay there and wallow in her sorrow the rest of her days. She doesn't deserve Stan or those two boys, imo.

Me too, nice twist about the grandfather though.

I am still laughing over Holder telling Linden its about time for her to "buy a pack" which followed an earlier episode of him telling her "to come on back into the fold".

Yes, Mitch is really something. She leaves the poor kids and doesn't even bother to call.

I'm one who does think it's as simple as Jamie or Gwen being the killer. It's taken two seasons to get this story finished on tv but in reality, less than 30 days for the detectives to work the clues. Lots of red herrings inserted into the story to lead viewers off in another direction. I still think Rosie just happened to be at the casino, saw something she shouldn't have seen - probably a dirty political business deal - and was killed because she witnessed it. Plain old-fashioned greed and corruption.

I do hope the writers take a lesson from this, though. They don't need to draw a simple story out this way. Most crime dramas solve their case in one or two episodes. This goes beyond ridiculous, imo. I'm actually relieved that next week will be the end to this tedious story.

I was noticed how much happier Linden looked when she was sitting in the car smoking that cigarette. I'm sure part of it was the case heating up, but you could tell she really enjoyed smoking, and was relieved to give in.

Thanks! I couldn't figure it out. He looked familiar but I couldn't remember where. I kept saying, "Who is that?" and hubby responded, "Why are you asking me? I don't watch this show, you do!" I explained that it's difficult to follow because it spans two seasons. He asked, "Why do you watch it then?" And I responded, "Forget it. I'll find out. Someone online will know."

I loved that too. Very real. I've known parents who seriously neglected their living children after the death of a child. They need slapped.

Agreed 100%. They should have wrapped it up in S1 and given us a new mystery for S2. They've thrown in too many characters, too many pointless and patently absurd subplots. Viewers who like that kind of complexity in a murder mystery are also viewers who don't like to have their intelligence insulted, repeatedly.

My wild card guess for the killer is going to be Terri because Jamie or Gwen seem too obvious & not shocking enough. Also because Linden keeps harping on that thing about the killer not wanting to see Rosie's eyes.
