That new captain had a point about it's his license at stake if illegal drugs are found aboard that boat on his watch. I can also see how he used his sniffer to ferret out the paraphernalia. I don't smoke that stuff, hence I can smell the tiniest hints of the herb, smoked or unsmoked.
They're not ready (as in mature enough) for the responsibilities that come with ownership or being in the wheelhouse.
Phil Harris was 50% owner of the boat, which went to the Boys who each own 25%. Cornelia Marie Devlin is the majority owner.
Actually, I've read several accounts that say the Harris boys SHARE 25% ownership and Cornelia Devlin has the remainder. That makes more sense since she is the majority owner.
Jake is nothing but a let down to his late father. And they think this Captain was hard? Try being on the Kodiak or Northwestern and tell me those Captains are easier to work with. I bet there was another crew member smoking with him too. The others were nothing but followers and should have spoke up instead of keeping quiet.
Yeah - Coffee and Tylenol. The job is way to dangerous to have ANYONE not be on top of thier game. It can get somebody killed.
Most of these guys that end up with dependancy problems gain them while in idol time between seasons. Bringing it onto the boat is wrong on every level.
Meh, a little pot or booze would make that job a lot better. Not saying stoned or drunk, just a little something to kill the drudgery.
I am sure most doing this work follow my advice.
