Default Deadliest Catch

For fans of Deadliest Catch just a reminder that the new season starts next week on Tuesday April 12th at 9:00 pm ET.

It will be hard to watch without Phil. Last night I watched the "Best of Season 6" special and still got emotional seeing the scenes with Phil. It will be interesting to see what happens with his two sons.

According to the website, there will be two new boats this time.

I've been counting down till Tues. It will be different without Phil, but I'm sure his sons will do fine. The addition of two new boats will be nice.

You're sure his sons will do alright? They can't get along and are drug/alcohol addicts. If by fine you mean train wreck I agree.

Jake went thru rehab. Time will tell. Maybe it worked, maybe it didn't. Sometimes losing a dad makes you grow up.

I'm glad they're getting some new boats on there. As much as I enjoy the show, some of the current drama is getting old. They made Capt Keith into a bad guy, the Hillstrand's schtick has gotten really old, and it looks like there's turbulence on the crew of the Northwestern.

Here's to the new season!!! I look forward to the new season and seeing how it goes.

It looks to me like all these 'best of' episodes are a way of sort of introducing viewers to other people from other boats. Maybe they had a lot of unused footage and they put it together to get people used to the new guys they'll be showing now.

I thought the first couple of years of this was interesting. But 6 years? Won't be watching. I get it, the Arctic is cold, these guys make a lot of money and blow it all on drugs and alcohol.

I figured that out after Season 1. It would have made a great documentary but a series... some folks must be real bored.
