Do you all remember The Paper Chase, starring the immortal John Houseman and his patented 'Mr. Haaaart?' A solid, intelligent show about Harvard law students, based on a movie which starred Timothy Bottoms and Lindsay Wagner.

I also liked The White Shadow, basketball movie where the only whites were the coach and some players (Salami?).

most of the shows from the 70's were good.
they have no more original ideas anymore, thats why everything is reality.
and even with cable at 225 channels, I still watch re-runs of something I have seen a billion times.

I liked the Hulk and Emergency. I liked the cop shows like Kojak, Columbo. My favourite was Magnum, although that was really 80s.

I recently watched some Mary Tyler Moore. Such amazing talents, Mary and Ted above the others, but even Rhoda and Ed Asner. Ted's voice cracked me up.

Welcome Back, Kotter. I loved the theme song by John Sebastian of the Lovin' Spoonful. I liked the hard-rock incoherent closing theme of WKRP. I liked the opening of Diff'rent Strokes, with the music and impressive NY skyline.

Early 70's Alias Smith And Jones
Alias Smith and Jones (TV Series 1971–1973) - IMDb
It never did recover from the loss of Pete Duel. Roger Davis just didn't cut it. But that first year and a half was golden.

Loved Bob, he is on my DVR schedule as they air his reruns.
Also liked WKRP
Watched Charlie's Angels (who didn't?), Dallas, Love Boat, Happy Days, Laverne & Shirley, Partridge Family, Brady Bunch, Fantasy Island, Barney Miller.
Great mystery/detective shows: Rockford Files, Streets of San Francisco, Quincy, Starsky & Hutch
Loved Emergency! and Adam 12.
Nighstalker - recently bought those on DVD
Also really liked: Fernwood 2Night later to be America 2Night with a hilarious Martin Mull.
The ORIGINAL cast of SNL
SCTV - which ran into the 80s actually.

Actually there is this channel in our area that runs all reruns METV - it is awesome.

I always thought they should do a Loveboat - a new version and have like old movie stars and TV stars from the 70s and 80s and stuff on there.... like they did on the version from the 70s they would have like stars from the 50s/60s on there like Ethel Merman and stuff... I would watch it!
