I think you have to talk about a particular show. By the by, I am not voting this election. I would ask you to watch yourself and reach your own conclusions. I will sometimes watch an occasional program on FOX, but not that one. Really, she's ditzy and the men around her seem just as bad. It's probably good for a laugh. Try it. It's enough to turn you liberal - just kidding.

Ok, I looked it up. 'Fox and Friends'.

I think I have to go with anything artsy-fartsy on PBS. Anybody on the telly that is guided almost 100% by ideology and comes across as very angry and bombastic.....Sgt Schultz comes to mind.

On a side note, I agree with the above highlighted post 100%.

I do not personally attack others. But man, a lib throws vile personal attacks at me and somehow it is just a-ok....ignored by the moderators. Let me make a post that is considered NON-PC....even a mild post that does not fit into the liberal mindset according to the moderation......BAM, gone in a couple of hours...if not minutes.

I've gotten a lot of entries deleted because I have a wandering (I like to think, creative) mind and I have to learn to rein it in and stay on topic. I don't blame the mods. Sometimes I think they may be too sensitive, but they are there and I am here, and that's just something I have to accept. I don't think it's because they don't agree with me politically, though. I almost never post on Great Debates.

Well, I haven't watched that show, nor have I watch the Real Housewives shows because just by their ads they don't look real at all to me. Maybe I don't have a right to comment, but even with the dearth of good programming, you'd think the avg American could find something better than that trash. We wonder why other countries are beating us on so many levels. Look at the average intelligence of our people. Do so many of us identify with white trash hillbilly hicks or equally trashy self indulgent cosmetically enhanced aging non contributing party girls? Thats what the ads would lead a person to believe, anyway.

One answer to your well thought out post........view the shockumentary about the USA......"Idiocracy", it will stun and sicken you.

On a sad and serious note, yes...the USA is a "Honey Boo Boo" nation.

Really, when I saw the trailers I thought 'that won't last'.
Pity, that we've come to this.
I seem to remember, years back, a discussion program in which people thought the media was given a license by the government (we, the people) to broadcast and in return they had some social responsibility to elevate the public mind.

I am sorry my friend, the current crop of telly shows is right at the average Amerit**ds speed.

The Honey Boo Booification of the USA is just about complete.
