Ah Corner Gas, what a great show that was . Here in Flanders, it aired on the channel Acht from 2009 on. Fell in love with the dry humor ever since I saw the first episode. Wonderfully funny .
How wonderful that folks in Europe are watching such an awesome, refreshing show, instead of the corporate crap the networks shove down the throats on the naive and gullible, like
-Housewives of NJ, NY, OC
-Teen Mom,
and all that other garbage out there.
So, re: Corner Gas in Belgium,
Do they do voiceovers, or subtitles, or do they just run it in English?
Just started the people (not cartoon) version of Corner Gas on Amazon Prime. So funny! Laugh out loud for me. Thankfully no laugh track so I can really enjoy it. I love the style of humor, sort of dry and definitely witty. Very clean, enjoyable and thankfully no violence.
Been watching this over again and thoroughly enjoying it. It's also my background muzak when doing other things. Since my husband passed I've had a difficult time watching too much drama (enough real life) so this is filling the bill nicely . Never even heard of it until it recently came up on Prime.
FYI: Both the original "live action" show and the newer animated show are now available on Amazon Prime in the US.
