Shows ending one minute after the hour
Man, does that make me mad.
My DVR won't record a show because
the damn show ends one minute after
the hour and I have two shows starting
on the hour. Why the heck do they do that?

That really pi**es me off too!
My DVR will cut the end of the show off.....so I often miss the most important part.
I think we just need to quit watching shows that do that.....let them know it is costing them viewers.

I've only noticed this on Comedy Central for some reason. On my DRV, we just go into the settings and add one minute to the recording time. This won't help if you are recording two other shows when it ends, unless maybe one of them tends to start a little late or starts with credits, you could bump it back to start one minute later. Another thing I have done is to skip the first showing and instead record when it replays later in the night - this works for South Park at least.

I've programmed my DVR to start a minute early and end three minutes later for just that reason.
It is particularly irksome with the reality shows - they seem to always go late causing the shows I actually watch to start later than scheduled.

You could always set the DVR to record all new episodes of the show, but then you'd have to do a lot of deleting...because you'd get every new episode for the entire week. I do understand your pain--I've missed some shows for that very reason!

I hate when the shows start 5 minutes prior to the hour without the schedule saying so. I turn on a show at exactly the hour and I've missed the most important part setting up the storyline.
